SIRUM Charitable Pharmacy (SCP) fills prescriptions for uninsured and low-income patients in Oregon. We are the first pharmacy to operate completely with donated medicine under Oregon’s Charitable Prescription Drug Program.


We are looking for volunteers interested in empowering patients to live healthy and productive lives by providing access to medicine. Volunteers are core to helping us get medicine into the hands of patients who would otherwise not be able to afford it. No experience is required.

We’re looking for volunteers who:

  • Are passionate about expanding healthcare access
  • Have a can-do attitude
  • Are extremely organized
  • Have great attention to detail

Great opportunity for:

  • Pharmacy professionals (pharmacists, certified technicians)
  • Students (pharmacy, medical, pre-medical, pre-pharmacy, etc.)

Pharmacy professionals will help with filling prescriptions and liaising with patients and providers to ensure excellent patient care.

What you’ll do:

  • Process medication donations
  • Sort our inventory to fill prescriptions
  • Update our live inventory for patients and providers

Eligibility Requirements

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Pass a background check
  • Be committed. If you sign-up for a shift, please don’t flake.
  • Have reliable transportation to Hillsboro during pharmacy hours (we’re conveniently located by the MAX Blue Line)

Pharmacy Hours

Fall 2016: Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-4:00pm, 4:00pm-6:00pm

Saturdays: Available to groups upon request.
